PREORDERS OPEN FOR MEZCO’S LITTLEBIGPLANET FIGURE SET
Spotted via vinyl toy/comic/culture blog Super Punch, Big Bad Toy Store has begun taking pre-orders for the first set of Mezco’s LittleBigPlanet toy. $35 will net you a set of three, including:
SackBoy – With baseball cap, two sets of alternate hands, and bendable pop-it lasso.
Sky – With removable pigtails wig, dress, two sets of alternate hands, and bendable pop-it lasso.
Marvin – With afro wig, sunglasses, two sets of alternate hands, and bendable pop-it lasso.
All accessories are naturally interchangable for maximum customization, and, as previously mentioned, Mezco will also soon be releasing a blank version of the models to create your own one-off customs.

DON’T STOP BEING MY SCARYGIRL: TOUCH MY PIXEL/NATHAN J. COMBINE FORCES
Today’s best art/toy/game crossover (and a nice snack before tomorrow’s Game Over/Continue? show), Australia’s Touch My Pixel has sent over the latest trailer for their forthcoming web game based on Nathan Jurevicius‘ Scarygirl.
TMP head Tarwin Stroh-Spijer says the final game will include “platforming and adventure elements as well as physics based bike riding and even a street Street Fighter style fighting game,” and I don’t really need to hear much more.

MICHAEL LAU UNVEILS METAL GEAR CROSSOVER TOY SNAKE SQUARE
Urban toy progenitor Michael Lau has officially revealed the secret lineup he teased last week, and, as expected, of particular note is Snake Square, his vinyl nod to the Metal Gear series: a squat Gardener figure decked out in an awesomely cubic/off-kilter alligator mask camo.
The fine print notes that he’s priced at HK$650 (~$80): keep your eyes on the usual suspect outlets — Rotofugi, ToyTokyo, MyPlasticHeart — for him to pop up in coming months.

VINYL ARTIST MICHAEL LAU DOING METAL GEAR CROSSOVER?
If you’ve never heard his name, a little introduction: Hong Kong artist Michael Lau is one of the progenitors of the urban/vinyl toy scene, having curated his line of Gardeners for over a decade now, and remains one of the scene’s most original and influential artists.
His yearly CSBOOTH exhibit at his personal HK gallery always ends up spawning at least one completely wicked design (see: CSBOOTH15’s 2001: A Space Odyssey crossover fig), and it’s looking like CSBOOTH16 is going to be no exception.
The flier at above right has recently been making the rounds, showing an unmistakably Metal Gear-ish motif, followed by that pixelated preview which, shrunk down (via crazytoyz), is starting to snap into focus as what would appear to be one of his miniature Square figures in Snake’s signature Metal Gear Solid 3 alligator-mask.
That’s all we’ve got to go on for now, but CSBOOTH16 will open a week from Saturday, and all will be revealed.

THE MUNNY SHOT: ALBERT ART’S EARTHBOUND STAR, NESS
The latest games-vinyl toy crossover from Albert Art: this custom Ness Munny, star of the oft-blogged cult hit Earthbound, complete with to-scale backpack and cap. It’s the fourth games custom Art’s done recently, following his similarly nice work on Bomberman and Turbo-Grafx 16 underdog Bonk.
