ONE SHOT: BROWN BOX CREATOR BAER’S BIT.TRIP
How confident is Odyssey/’ping-pong’/videogame grandfather Ralph Baer at his own game? When he recently took on ‘pong’s neo-retro WiiWare remake Bit.Trip:Beat, he did it (and quite well, by the looks of the screen) holding the controller upside down. [via GaiijnGames]

Huh, I should try that! I’ve also wanted to (but never tried) playing other Wii games “left-handed.”
Oh, and Baer was also the creator of Simon, so there’s another connection to Bit.Trip Beat as father of the trippy music game.
Holding the controller upside down is the ONLY way to get through this game. I played two rounds before I switched to “backbeat style” controller handling and then it was much easier.
