With PAX East having kicked off today, the latest issue of the TIGSource DevLog looks at a number of indie projects from the forums which are being showcased in Boston through Sunday.

The Indie Megabooth alone is home to a staggering number of games featured below, including: Chasm, Delver’s Drop, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Phantom P.I. Mission Apparition. At the accompanying Minibooth, you’ll be able to find Burrito Galaxy, Relativity and Rex Rocket.

Elsewhere, following news that both Rain World and Oblitus have struck a deal with Adult Swim Games, you’ll be able to find both at that publisher’s booth.

As usual, check back next Friday for a new issue!

This week’s selection shows some love for pixel art, with fourteen games in development showing true skill with the pixel brush! We have Chasm in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign, Tale of the Stolen Rainbow creating an epic Zelda-like adventure with minimalist black and white pixels, and then there’s The Bitter End.. oh wait, it seems to have been made in Hexels!

I’d also like to point out that Dungeon Hearts, a puzzler for the quick mind, has finally been released on the App Store, after over two years of thorough devlogs on the TIGSource Forums. You should probably read their entries, especially if you enjoy the soundtrack – there’s a freebie in there somewhere!

During the holiday break, the TIGSource Devlog Zine got a little make-over, and with it I’ve decided to change its schedule – the zine will now be published every two weeks!

Now that we’re back, you should catch up on the incredibles games in development – new screenshots have been added to Two Brothers, Saturated Dreamers, Jack the Reaper, SpaceHero Command and lots of other cool new games. I’d also recommend you visit Tower of Gorillion‘s forum thread for more screens and info about this new action platformer.

Since 2009, TIGSource forum user St33d has been writing a pretty thorough devlog for a rogue-like platformer named Red Rogue. This week marks the end of that thread – Red Rogue is finally completed and released for everyone to play! It’s a very interesting entry in the rogue-like genre, with its mix of platforming, auto-combat, loot and traps. I’d also recommend checking out its soundtrack on Bandcamp!

There are a ton of new threads in the Devlog section this week. Let’s start with HarvestCraft, a game inspired by Harvest Moon, but with Minecraft‘s creativity aspects, all done in tiny, lovely pixel art. We’re glad to see Fez composer Disasterpeace join the devlog threads with January, a music generation game/tool involving snowflake-licking he’s been working on for a while now. Then there’s Reich, a turn-based strategy game in which you play the axis’ side of World War II – risqué, but quite interesting!
